Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Congress has guaranteed to give Rs 1500-1500 to every woman of the Himachal under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana. The party had promised the women of the state that this amount would be released to them from April 1st itself. Congress is sticking to its promise and if permission is not given then Rs 3,000 for two months’ installment will be released in June.

Speaking to reporters at the party headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, the Chief Minister said that BJP leaders earlier used to ask Congress when this guarantee would be fulfilled. When Congress started the process of filling the form for this, BJP leaders went to the Election Department to complain about it, whereas this scheme is already running.
Women in Lahaul Spiti have started receiving this amount from February. The Cabinet has given approval to provide it in other districts from April 1st. He said that women should fill the form and submit it to the office. If employees and officers do not take the form, then get it submitted to the Congress MLAs. He said that if the installment of PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana can be released then why women are not being allowed to release it.
Himachal Congress reached the Election Commission
The Chief Minister said that the Congress delegation led by Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi met the State Election Officer on the scheme of giving Rs 1500 and presented its stand. The delegation has demanded filling of forms and release of funds under the scheme.
