Due to the apprehension of the Omicron variant, the Deputy Commissioners and the CMO were also asked to strictly follow the orders in the meeting, but tests of more than 6 thousand patients have not been done in the state. Omicron cases are being confirmed in India. In Himachal also seven and a half hundred people coming from abroad have been quarantined for 14 days. The Health Department is keeping a close watch on these people. However, the department claims that none of them have symptoms of the Omicron variant.

Those who have been quarantined for 14 days are being allowed to stay with the family. Their information is being taken from Panchayat Pradhan, ASHA and Anganwadi workers. The department has been asked to take samples of people returning from abroad and their relatives.
