Himachal Pradesh government will buy 15 electric cars in the new year. The process of these cars is likely to be completed before January 26, in such a situation, in the coming time, from the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister to the members of their cabinet will also use electric vehicles.
According to the Latest News, the Transport Department will purchase cars through the JAM portal of the Central Government. Apart from this, the Himachal government can buy 300 electric cars during the next 2 years, which cost between 15 to 30 lakh rupees.
That is, whenever the Himachal government will purchase new vehicles in place of old vehicles from the secretariat to the government level, preference will be given to electric vehicles.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has already made it clear that the state government has decided to move in the direction of electric vehicles. Under this, officers in the Secretariat and Transport Department will have electric vehicles in the new year.
It is worth mentioning that last day 3 electric cars had come for demonstration in the state secretariat, which was trialled by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri himself.
