Himachal elections: 10,000 employees deployed in 68 counting centers, no entry allowed within 100 meters radius
Elaborate arrangements have been made for the counting of votes for the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections with deployment of about 10,000 employees including security personnel in 68 counting centers at 59 places across the state. The borders of the state have been sealed a day before the counting of votes for the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections on November 12, to be held on Thursday. Himachal Pradesh will have a dry day on Thursday. Liquor contracts will remain closed throughout the day. Liquor will not reach the state even from outside states. Additional personnel of Central Armed Police Forces and Himachal Pradesh Police have been deployed along the borders of neighboring states with districts Kangra, Sirmaur, Solan, Una and Chamba. CCTV cameras are also keeping an eye on those coming to the state from outside states.
Election results will be better than exit polls: Jairam
Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has said that according to most of the exit polls and surveys, the BJP government is likely to be formed again in the state. Apart from this, in the internal survey also, the BJP government is seen to be formed. Jairam Thakur was having an informal conversation with the journalists here. He said that there is no basis for the announcements made by the Congress during election time. Anyway, the Congress government is not going to be formed in the state. He alleged that the Congress makes baseless announcements during election time to mislead the people.

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has said that the BJP has suffered losses due to the old pension issue and this loss was already felt. The issue was reported to the party in advance, since the state alone could not take this decision, the Congress used the OPS as a ready-made weapon. It was not a political issue, yet there was an attempt to use the issue to grab power. In a conversation with ‘My Himachal’ at his official residence Oakover, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that if the old pension issue was not there, the Congress would have nothing to speak against the government.
