Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has also released the annual examination result of class 10th. Daughters have also emerged victorious in the top 10 merit list of class 10th. A total of 92 students are included in the top-10 merit list. Of these, 71 are girls. Like 12th class, daughters have also won the 10th class merit list. From 1st to 10th position in the merit list, the girls have established themselves. Boys were not found at first, second and 10th positions in the merit list, while only for the 9th rank, seven boys shared the position with 15 girls. 19 girls from government schools, while 52 girls from private schools made it to the merit list.
Riddhima Sharma of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nadaun has topped the state by scoring 99.86 percent marks. Kritika Sharma of Newgal Model Public Senior Secondary School, Bhawarna stood second with 99.71 percent marks.
Similarly, Shivam Sharma of Government Senior Secondary School, Barthin, Dhriti Tegta of Glory International School, Rohru and Rushil Sood of Bharati Vidyapeeth Public Senior Secondary School, Baijnath have jointly secured third position by scoring 99.57 percent marks. The results of regular, additional subject, category improvement and supplementary examination of class 10th conducted in 2024 were declared on Tuesday by the State School Education Board.
The exam result was 74.51 percent. 91,622 students had given this examination. Of these, 67,988 passed. Compartment 10474 has arrived. 12613 have failed. 22 meritorious students from government schools and 70 from private schools have made it to the merit list.
The decline continues for four years
There has been a continuous decline in the results of Class 10th examination of the School Education Board in the last four years. This time there has been a decline of 25 percent compared to 2021. Poor examination results have raised questions on the school education structure in the state. If corrective steps are not taken soon, the consequences will be serious in the future.
Maximum 19 students from Hamirpur district have made it to the merit list. There are 15 students from Bilaspur, two from Chamba, 15 from Kangra, 10 from Kullu, 15 from Mandi, three from Shimla, two from Solan, one from Sirmair and 10 from Una district.
This year the result has been declared 15 days earlier than last year. For the convenience of the candidates who have passed the examination, certificates are also being made available on DigiLocker by the School Education Board.
According to the Board, the candidates wishing to get the answer sheets of the examination re-evaluated and re-verified will be able to apply through the concerned school only through the online system on the Board’s website www.hpbose.org.
You can apply for revaluation at the rate of Rs 500 and for revaluation at the rate of Rs 400 per subject till May 22.
To apply for revaluation, it is mandatory to have at least 20 percent marks in the concerned subject.
Shravika Kashyap, a student of Snore Valley Public School Bajaura, has secured fourth position. The student has secured 99.43 percent marks. The promising student wants to serve patients by becoming a cardiologist.
