That is not plastic rice but fortified rice. Many nutrients are present in rice. Fortified rice is being made available as per the instructions of the Central Government.

Himachal government releases calendar for 2024, five holidays reduced for employees

Himachal government has released the holidays calendar for the year 2024. Four holidays in the coming year are falling on Sundays. Women working in government offices, boards and corporations will not get the benefit of two holidays. Rakshabandhan, Karva Chauth and Bhaiya Dooj are holidays but next year Karva Chauth and Bhaiya Dooj are on Sunday. Women will be able to get leave only on August 19 for Rakshabandhan. The General Administration Department of the State Government has issued a notification in this regard on Friday.


Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh said – Center withheld Rs 4,950 crore at the behest of Himachal BJP leaders


On the request of BJP leaders of Himachal, the Central Government has stopped the disaster relief funds being released to the state. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Revenue and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi have alleged that BJP leaders are not desisting from doing politics even on natural disasters. He said that Himachal BJP is responsible for not receiving Rs 4,950 crore of disaster claims from the Central Government. It is because of BJP leaders that the Center has withheld this amount.

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education will conduct the annual examinations of classes 3, 5 and 8 for the academic session 2023-24 in schools having winter vacation from November 28. These examinations, which will be held till December 6, will be conducted from 9:45 am to 1.00 pm. Candidates will have to reach their examination center half an hour before the commencement of the examination.

Rain and snowfall for two days in many parts of Himachal

Sumo car fell into the ditch of Karsog, five including four women died in the accident; six others seriously injured

Five people died after their Sumo vehicle fell into a 300 feet deep gorge in Alsindi of Karsog sub-division of Mandi district. The dead include four women and one man. Six other people were injured in the accident. He has been admitted to Civil Hospital Sunni in Shimla district for treatment. All these people were going to Balindi in a Sumo car.


Women are earning lakhs by cultivating mushrooms from Zaika project.

Women of Himachal have become self-reliant through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) project. Under the project, self-help groups are being helped for mushroom cultivation in the state. 65 self-help groups of the state have earned more than Rs 12 lakh within a year. Himachal Pradesh Forest Ecosystem Management and Livelihood Improvement Project: Under this project, mushroom cultivation is being done in 32 forest ranges of 18 forest divisions of the state.


Rice recovered for Pangi from temple, Vigilance took action

In Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, the team of State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has raided and recovered a consignment of government rice kept in a temple complex. This rice belongs to the Food Supplies Department and was to be sent to Pangi sub-division. There has been a stir after 850 bags of government rice were found in the temple warehouse. Each bag is of 50 kg. These bags were lying here for about 40 days. Vigilance has registered a case and started investigation. The rice consignment has been taken into custody.
