New electric vehicle policy in Himachal: Mukesh Agrihotri

Let the big news tell you that the Sukhu government in Himachal Pradesh is preparing to buy electric vehicles. where the government will implement the electric vehicle policy with innovative ideas after discussion with the Chief Minister and the state cabinet, petrol and diesel vehicles will be replaced with electric vehicles in a phased manner. In this episode, the government is going to buy 18 electric vehicles within 15 days. This will replace the entire fleet of Transport Director.

On Monday, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agrihotri took the trial of electric vehicles from the state secretariat to Oak Over. On this occasion, Agnihotri said that the state government is including electric vehicles as a policy. First all the vehicles of the Director Transport will be replaced and their entire fleet will be of electric vehicles.

He said that initially the circulation of electric vehicles will be promoted in the Secretariat and after that their use in public transport services will also be increased. Apart from this, an announcement can also be made to buy 200 to 300 electric vehicles in the budget session.

He said that even during the time of the previous government, C.M. An electric vehicle was provided for the same but it was later handed over to the general administration. He said that charging stations would be set up as per the norms for charging of vehicles and in the initial phase this facility would be provided in Government institutions including Secretariat and Himachal Sadan and buildings.

Benefit of electric vehicles in Himachal Pradesh

Electric vehicles have many benefits in Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, where there will be environmental protection, there will also be budget. Electric vehicles cost 50 paise per kilometer, while petrol vehicles cost 10 to 11 rupees per kilometer.

A vehicle has a 30 kW battery which consumes 30 units of electricity while charging. The cost of one unit of electricity is Rs.3.50. At the same time, once charged, the vehicle runs from 400 to 456 kilometers.

The base model of the electric vehicle is priced between Rs 12.50 lakh to Rs 23.84 lakh. On Monday, 3 electric vehicles came to the Himachal Secretariat for a test drive. It had 2 Tatas and one Hyundai.

The cost of one Tata vehicle is Rs 12.50 lakh and the cost of another vehicle is Rs 18.50 lakh. Similarly, the price of Hyundai’s vehicle is Rs 23.84 Lakh.
