हिमाचल प्रदेश की विभिन्न पंचायती राज संस्थाओं में खाली पड़े 217 पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों के पदों के लिए 10 अगस्त को उपचुनाव होगा। इसके चलते प्रदेश सरकार ने संबंधित निवार्चन क्षेत्रों में इस दिन सार्वजनिक अवकाश की घोषणा की है।
हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार के प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि अधिसूचना के अनुसार निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों के अंतर्गत आने वाले सभी सरकारी कार्यालय, सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों के कार्यालय, शिक्षण संस्थान और औद्योगिक प्रतिष्ठान 10 अगस्त को बंद रहेंगे।
मतदान के दिन दैनिक वेतनभोगी कर्मचारियों के लिए भी वैतनिक अवकाश रहेगा। इसके अलावा अपनी पंचायत से बाहर कार्यरत कर्मचारियों को मतदान के लिए अवकाश मिलेगा।
By-elections will be held on August 10 for the posts of 217 Panchayat representatives lying vacant in various Panchayati Raj Institutions of Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, the state government has declared a public holiday on this day in the respective constituencies.
Himachal Pradesh government spokesperson said that as per the notification all government offices, public sector undertakings, educational institutions and industrial establishments falling under the constituencies will remain closed on August 10.
There will also be a paid holiday for daily wage workers on the day of polling. Apart from this, the employees working outside their panchayat will get leave to vote.
