In the case of blackmailing and raping a college student minor girl in Shillai in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, the police has released the photo of the accused. The accused is absconding since the matter came to light.
The police has released the picture of the accused Yash, a resident of Balikoti. In the initial investigation, the police had imposed sections of blocking the way in this case, but later a case has also been registered under the SC-ST Act and POCSO Act due to the victim’s belonging to the Scheduled Castes. On Monday, the police have taken action in this case under Section-376 and POCSO Act.
According to the information, the college student alleges that since June 2020 last year, she was sexually assaulted on the pretext of marriage. The victim was a minor at that time. Since Monday, DSP Veer Bahadur himself is investigating the matter and is in Shillai for 3 days. The name of the person giving information about the accused will be kept confidential.
