डीएमआरसी ने एक आधिकारिक घोषणा में कहा कि दिल्ली में प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए जीआरएपी के कार्यान्वयन के आलोक में, डीएमआरसी शुक्रवार से अपने नेटवर्क पर 20 अतिरिक्त ट्रेन यात्राएं शुरू करेगी। खेतों में आग लगने की घटनाओं में वृद्धि और प्रतिकूल मौसम की स्थिति के कारण वैज्ञानिक अगले दो हफ्तों में दिल्ली-एनसीआर क्षेत्र में प्रदूषण के स्तर में अनुमानित वृद्धि के बारे में आगाह कर रहे हैं। इसी बीच स्वास्थ्य विशेषज्ञ विशेष रूप से बच्चों और बुजुर्गों में अस्थमा तथा श्वसन संबंधी समस्याओं में संभावित वृद्धि को लेकर चिंतित हैं।
