The state government has procured the school bags through the Food Supplies Corporation. Some bags have been sent by the selected company to the Directorate of Elementary Education on Friday. Now random sampling of these bags will be done by the directorate. If the bags meet the quality, then their allocation will start from May. If the samples are found to be unsuccessful in the investigation, then the tender of the company will be cancelled. The Directorate of Education has fixed the size of the school bag according to the classes.

The size of the bags given to the students of class I and III will be smaller, while the size of bags will be given to the students of classes VI and IX. Let us inform that in the year 2019 also, school bags with photographs of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur were given to the students by the government.

During this, the Congress had made a lot of hue and cry, accusing it of politicizing the bags of the students. ब्यास नदी में मिला युवती का शव, भूतनाथ पुल से लगाई थी छलांग

घटना के दौरान चालक महेर चंद गाड़ी से बाहर छिटक गया और पत्थरों के बीच जा गिरा, जहां पर उसके सिर पर गहरी चोट के कारण काफी खून बह गया था। दुर्घटना का पता अगली सुबह चल पाया जब स्थानीय लोगों ने गाड़ी को नाले में गिरे हुए देखा। ग्रामीण आनन-फानन में दुर्घटना स्थल पर पहुंचे तथा गंभीर रूप से घायल को बेहोशी की हालत में तुंरत मंडी अस्पताल (Mandi Hospital) पहुंचाया। प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद डाॅक्टरों ने उसे आईजीएमसी शिमला (IGMC Shimla) रैफर कर दिया लेकिन उसने शिमला पहुंचने से पहले ही दम तोड़ दिया।

Superintendent of Police Mandi Shalini Agnihotri ने घटना की पुष्टि की है। उन्होंने कहा कि पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर घटना की छानबीन शुरू कर दी है। मृतक चालक का पोस्टमार्टम करने के उपरांत शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया है।

SDM Balichowki Siddharth Acharya ने कहा कि प्रशासन की ओर से मृतक के परिवार को फौरी राहत के तौर पर 10 हजार रुपए की राशि दे दी है। कल्हणी पंचायत के उपप्रधान रूप सिंह ठाकुर ने कहा कि मृतक मेहर चंद पुत्र मोती राम शिक्षा विभाग में फोर्थ क्लास कर्मचारी के पद पर कार्यरत था। 2 वर्ष पहले ही उसकी शादी हुई थी और उसकी एक बेटी भी है। वह अपने माता-पिता का इकलौता बेटा था।
